Econoline Crush - Brand New History Econoline Crush's new Album, "Brand new history" is a big disappointment as far as I'm concerned. I painfully sat and listened to the whole album. For me that wasn't easy to do, since they seem to have no idea what style of music they want to play on this album. It ranges anywhere from "teenie bopper" style pop, to a wanna be soft "pop rock" band. It sounded like every track was by a different band. Seriously. I do not recommend this CD to anyone. And I have nothing really good to say about it, so I'll stop here. Saliva - Every Six Seconds
Saliva's debut album "Every Six Seconds" has a pretty good start with the single "Your Disease". Which is also on the Dracula 2000 soundtrack. This album is full of down right, straightforward, in you face rock. The lower tunings in these songs give it that awesome bottom end crunch. Even the slower tracks have a good low feel to them. There are definitely some in your face driving rhythms on this album. Solid bass riffs, guitar sounds, drum tracks, and vocals all make this one solid CD. Great combination of Alternative, Heavy, and Modern Rock all in one album. There's alot of talent here and I'm kinda curious to see where these boys go. You can even hear a little Southern Style Rock in their slow stuff, which I personal enjoy from time to time. But make no mistakes this is definitely a solid rock album that is a must have for all style rock lovers. Here it is all rolled into one album. Go Get it!! Aftershock says" Listen for the song Click Click Boom to be the next single" Tool - Lateralus
Tool's new album "Lateralus", is classic Tool. A long awaited release from this band has been welcomed in abundance by Tool fans everywhere. "Lateralus" proves to Tool fans that Maynard, lead singer, wasn't joking about A Perfect Circle, Maynard's other venture, being just a side thing. Tool comes back in full glory and "Tool forcefulness" in this latest release. It's been a long wait since the 1996 release of "AEnima", the bands last album. It's as if they never stopped for a break. This album is prized of heavy hitters and melodic journeys, both of which are rich traits of Tool talent. 50,000 copies of the album were sold here in the U.S. the first week alone. Their latest tour shows are getting rave reviews from fans as well. The artwork on the cover of this album is incredible to say the least. The wildest thing I've seen in a long time. There are some new sounds and digital samplings in the new album to add to the journeys in their music, but it's fitting to the pieces. If you like Tools constant methodic melodic mental journeys, then a sudden slam you back in your seat heavy hittin' piece of artistic creation, you gotta have this album. I give this one a "Two thumbs up". Definitely worth the wait. Definitely worth being in your "Tool chest" collection. Also if you like Tool's videos, you might want to pick up one of their DVD or VHS box sets. |
